We have set out below the dress hire procedure.  This also constitutes the dress hire terms and conditions.  By booking a dress for hire you are automatically agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Terms and Conditions
Booking
A dress can be booked for hire up to 3 months in advance.
You will need to enter the date that the dress is required for when the dress hire is booked. If this date is not available you will be advised within 24 hours. You can then either choose another dress or cancel the hire and receive a full refund.
Charges
Each dress is charged at the hire cost plus a returnable deposit*  
*The deposit is returnable subject to the dress being returned on-time and in the same condition.
The cost of hire and the deposit are charged at the time of booking.
Once the dress has been received back to us and checked the deposit will be refunded to the credit card used for payment.
If the dress is considered not to be in the same condition as sent out to you your deposit will be non refundable. This is totally to our discretion.
We do try to process refunds straight away but please allow up to 30 days for the refund to appear on your statement.
Delivery
Each dress for hire will cost £6.95 for delivery and will be sent by next day special delivery.   You will need to select the dress hire option at the delivery stage at checkout.  Failure to select this option will result in delays.
Items will be sent out 2 days before the hire event date. Eg if the dress is required for a Saturday the dress will be despatched on Thursday and received by you on Friday.
Return
You will need to return the dress 1 working day after the hire date. Eg if the dress is required for Saturday the dress will need to be in the post to us on Monday so it is received by us on Tuesday. Postage must be by special next day delivery at a cost to you.
Failure to use the special next day service and late return will result in the deposit being non refundable. 
 
Cleaning
All hire items are washed or dry-cleaned as appropriate in between each hire period, the cost of dry cleaning is included in the hire fee.
Cancellations
If the dress hire is cancelled:
More than one month before the hire date – No charge
2-4 weeks before the hire date – 30% of the hire charge
7-14 days before the hire date – 50% of the hire charge
Less than 7 days before the hire date – 100% of the hire charge
Try before you hire. 
This is subject to the dress being available (eg not being cleaned or out on hire)
Order the dress as normal and in the date required put ‘just to try’. You will also need to enter the date of your event so we can also check if the dress is available. You will be charged for full hire and returnable deposit. Carriage is £6.95 and non returnable.
Assuming the dress is available for your event date we will send the dress to you as soon as possible for you to try. We will send the dress to you midweek. You will be emailed so that you will know exactly when this will be. 
The dress will then need to be posted back to us the next working day by special next day delivery at a cost to you.
If you would like to hire the dress for your event then no further action is required and the dress will be resent to you as required at no further postage cost to you and the procedure for normal dress hire will be followed.
If the dress does not fit then you may try other dresses but you will need to call us to arrange cost of postage for these items.  If you no longer wish to hire the dress then you will be refunded the hire cost and the deposit. Sorry the postage cost cannot be refunded.
If you wish to try more than one dress at a time you may do so by booking more than one dress and following the above procedure. 
Of course you are more than welcome to make a visit to our shop to select your dress. Canterbury is a beautiful City and makes a wonderful weekend break – we are open Saturday and Sundays!
